Having a baby is one of the most exciting and precious milestones in your life and while they will always be your fabulous little bundles of joy, sadly they don’t stay small for long. From around two weeks of age and onwards your baby will start to spend more and more time awake and be more stretched out making those adorable curly poses even harder to achieve. It is therefore recommended that new born sessions take place when your baby is three to ten days old while most of their time is spent sleeping and they are still content curling up into those beautiful womb-like poses.
As well as my formal photography education I have completed a new born photography workshop with award winning photographer Elli Cassidy. This covered a variety of technical aspects including the perfect lighting for that flawless creamy skin and dreamy feel and, most importantly, safety on the correct handling and posing of new borns. I also picked up a few tips on soothing unsettled babies which I am more than happy to pass on during your session.

When to Book
Sessions are best booked in advance and you can book from as early as your first scan. If your baby has already arrived please contact me as soon as possible. For babies older than fourteen days it may not be possible to get the perfect poses but we can still make stunning images of your little one with a lifestyle session.
New born session fees are £50 and include one free digital image of your choice. More digitals, prints and wall arts may be ordered as extras at your live viewing where you will be shown a gallery of beautiful images hand edited by me.
What to Expect
New born sessions can last between two and four hours depending on how easily settled your baby is. While I will try to incorporate as many poses as possible it is important to remember that not every baby will settle into every pose and while I am here to get as many gorgeous photographs of your little one as I can, their safety and comfort is paramount.
