Adam & Laura -Van Dyk - September 2019
Adam has been a friend of mine for almost ten years, so when he asked me to capture his special day I was both delighted and honoured. The day kicked off with bridal prep at Laura's parental home in Whitwell where I photographed the gorgeous bouqets and button holes handmade by Laura's mum.
While hair and makeup was progressing I took the time to shoot the details of Laura's beautiful dress and shoes.
Time for the brial party to get dressed...
Looks like the groomsmen (and women!) beat them to it as my second photographer captures the formals, not forgetting Nel the dog!
Champagne on ice as the ladies arrive with the father of the bride.
We sneak in a few more photographs before the ceremony.
And then it begins...
A round of applause for the new Mr & Mrs Widdowson.
A few quick pics outside the venue including the group shot before all the guest rush off to the bar
Then the newly weds are whisked off for a romantic drive and their couple portraits.
We ventured into the fields looking for the best shots.
And boy was it windy!
Meanwhile, back at the venue...
The tables were named after Adam & Laura's cats
And the cake was made by another talented member of Laura's family.
The food was delicious and I was super excited to be included in the meal with the guests.
While the guests meals settled we took advantage of Van Dyk's stunning decor for more portraits while waiting for the night to unfold for the evening shots.
Which were definitely work the wait...
The first dance was an emtional one for all including myself.
And my night drew to a close with the cutting of the cake.
Leaving the guests to get wild.
